UK greenhouse gas levels rose…

A shift from coal to gas and more gas use at home are the main reasons why UK greenhouse gas levels rose last year , but a 3.5% rise is alarming, coming at a time when increasing chunks of the government appear to have lost any interest or cmmitment to action.  The DECC figures are here.

All the signs are that work to cut domestuc energy use simply isn’t working. Not a good portent for the Green Deal…  the need for a much more strategic approach is increasingly obvious
